Meeting standards
Chapter meetings are every other Wednesday at 7:00 PM in Rovetta 103, business casual, roughly fifty minutes. Prospective members are welcome at any of them without notice. Attendance is taken; three unexcused absences a semester puts your competitive event registration in front of the Executive Committee, which is a conversation nobody enjoys, least of all the Executive Committee.

The state and national business conferences run competitive events across dozens of business subject areas. Top finishers advance from regional to state to nationals. We take this deeply, visibly seriously.
Presentations
Individual or team
Research a topic, build the deck, deliver it to a panel of judges who have heard forty of these today and will still ask you a question you did not prepare for.

A business scenario, twenty minutes of prep, one decision defended out loud. Our chapter record: a brother who resolved a supply chain crisis and then asked the judges for an internship. He got the internship.

Hands-on skills
Build a real deliverable under a hard time limit — spreadsheets, documents, designs, databases. The clock is the event. The clock has never been beaten, only survived.

Service project, recruitment, and the Annual Business Report — a full-year financial narrative of the chapter. We placed 2nd nationally in 2023. We did not submit in 2024. There were reasons.

Practice sessions
We run study and mock-judging sessions before every conference, open to every member. Pick an event, show up twice, and you will be better than half the room at Regionals. That is not motivation, it is attendance data.
Rush the chapterReady to compete?
Rush Chi Beta Omega and pick your first event. No experience needed, no business major required, and no one here will be impressed by your high school DECA record. We will, however, ask about it.
